Who we are
Our strength is found in our actions. Since 2018, we have partnered with several community resource agencies and local churches to build stronger communities. It is our belief that we are more efficient when we work together to overcome challenges.
This collective mission is why we launched Ahava Outreach, where we strive to bring positive, lasting change to everyone we serve.
Our story

Empowering our neighbors. Vital services for families and individuals in urgent need: compassionate, targeted aid for our senior living communities, support for families overcoming domestic violence and addiction, and help for those facing critical illness through Wellness Wednesdays. We also work against local food insecurity through hot meals, summer-camp meals and food distribution.

Helping those who need us most. Mentoring and tutoring in math, reading and spelling, plus Jabez Academy, our summer program that promotes learning and fun in a structured environment. We even teach cursive writing.

Transforming lives. We see every challenge as an opportunity. Through Beyond Scripted, our workforce readiness program, we build professional customer service skills and strong character for career success.

Neighbors helping neighbors. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do: packing boxes for food distribution, serving hot meals, mentoring local students and supporting youth summer camps.

Proof of impact
Jabez Academy, our summer program running since summer 2023, was featured in an area Chamber of Commerce Member Spotlight in 2026. Ahava Outreach earned a 2023/2024 Top-Rated Nonprofit badge on GreatNonprofits. On October 13, 2026, Ahava Outreach was nominated by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Nu Omega Chapter, in two community categories, and it was an honor to be nominated. Ahava Outreach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

"Ahava" means love, and this organization was born out of a deep desire to put that love into active motion for our neighbors. It began with the "Love Thine Own Self" empowering movement, bringing together those who survived domestic violence, overcame abuse and beat addictions.
